Well, we are in the middle of planning Madeleine's 5th birthday party for this weekend, and a Mad Hattter tea party it is.... We are so excited, but I just had to show you these awesome invites my talented friend Jo did for me.. pretty sweet, don't you think?
I gave her the party theme and she took it from there.. She is so awesome... Not only is she an awesome photographer, but she is a talented designer as well. Her other business is Sassy Ink Studios... If you want something different and creative for invites, announcements, etc.., she is the one you need to go to...
the cookies.. well you guessed it.. My other talented friend, Nicole... I know I mentioned before how awesome she is at making these cookies for all my events, but she really goes above and beyond...Thanks guys... I sure do appreciate all your talent..
I will post Madeleine's party pictures after the main event...

I was gifted.....
with a Mother's day gift that is... I am not at all really gifted....street smart I would say.. ha!
My kids surprised with me my first P&S camera....after all these years I never had a small camera of my own.. I am so excited.. Not the Mark III, but just as special.. :)
I was also given my first ipod(shuffle).. I know.. I need to get with the times Huh...I am sure everyone has a small camera of some sort or a ipod, but not me till this week.. This will be fun.. I am going to see how creative I can get with my little camera... This will be great for our Disneyland trips or for the times I say.. "darn, I wish I had a camera right now". Actually, "darn" would not be the choice word, but you know what I mean... Now I don't have to lug my big one around.... Yippee...

Lady in Red.....
that's right.. red was the choice color and I loved it... Four years ago, she walked down the aisle to marry the man of her dreams, and not a single moment worth framing... Ouch... I was NOT their photographer as I mentioned before, But I certainly wanted them to have moments worth framing this time around...
We had a blast doing a day after session, and there are so many other photos worth blogging as well, but I will leave you with this for now...
Derek and Sara....Thank you... Stay tuned for more to come your way....

Today was the Mother's day party at pre-school.... I hope we surprised all the moms with some cool photos.. Since it was garden month at pre-school, I had to incorporate that theme with pictures... hmmm... light bulb...
here are just a few shots and the final result of what all the kids were able to give to their moms...
Happy Mother's Day!

it pays to hire a professional
I can't wait to blog this one, but here is a sneak peek of what is to come...
They actually were married 4 years ago, and said they did not get one good photo in the bunch... Note: I was NOT their photographer....
Now, I could not let them have a bad bunch this time around...
we did a day after shoot, now technically it has been about 1,400 days after, but who's counting???
Potential clients: It does pay to have hire a professional.. We do have some bit of knowledge in this stuff.. :)

Happy Birthday Madeleine
This is how I want to remember you right now at this very age… swinging from trees, laughing your heart out and the sun shining so brightly on you.. yes ,the moments of a 5 year old…
Madeleine you turn 5 today, and I can hardly believe my eyes. 5 years ago today, I gave birth to you and it really does not seem so long ago… I had no idea what the expectations were to having a beautiful little girl, all I knew is that I fell in love with you the moment I laid eyes on you… and I was just going to go with the flow… I think I did okay. You always seem to surprise me with your very witty charm but yet your bashful side as well, I love it all… I love all things about you…
You are growing up before my eyes and soon you will not be so little anymore, but I know I will cherish every single day we spend together and looking forward to what new things lie ahead. But I will always remember this photo of you swinging from grandpa’s tree, the sun shining so brightly in your hair and you just being 5…
Dad says you were the best present he has ever received on his birthday.. I would agree… see, you were born on the same day as daddy. Two birthday celebrations today with the people I most love…
I love you guys and hope your day is filled with lots of memories and happiness…
Happy Birthday!
Love, me
Thank you Patrice for this beautiful picture of Madeleine.

little Miss "K"
I love shooting this family, I usually photograph little miss "K" every Christmas, but it seemed like the holiday's got away from us this past year and we re-scheduled for May.. It all worked out. We had beautiful weather, beautiful light and a very fun family......Miss "K" loves to write, so of course we had to get some of that in there, and her special hat she made.. :) Here is a small sneak peek...

beautiful...
I broke out my rusty 300mm lens, poor lens has not seen daylight for quite a few months, but today I wanted to shoot for myself. I keep telling myself that I am going to do that more often, I think I will. It was very relaxing...so on this blog, you will see more random stuff as well... the love of photography... Aahh....

Meet Julian..............
It was honor to photograph this little guy. He welcomed me with open arms and once again someone has touched my heart in the most miraculous way. Meet Julian....
Julian does have some challenges in his life. But his spirit, his kindness and warmth in this little boy over shadows all of that. Can one little boy light up a room and make me smile from ear to ear? Maybe, maybe not. All I know is that Julian did, and that is all that mattered at that moment. I think it is safe to say that we clicked instantly, and it felt so good.
Julian, thank you for taking me around your daily routine and showing me all the things that you have accomplished.
Erin, You are so blessed to have Julian in your life. Very blessed
here is a sneak peek of many more to come...
Knock! Knock! Who's there?
