Happy 6 month (no name fish)

ok, today marks the day that we have had our fish for 6 months... yes, can you believe it? six whole months. I think this is the longest I have ever had an animal my whole life...technically, it is not mine, Madeleine won it at a Halloween carnival back in October and today is the day that her fish has been named and celebrated...yes, six months..:)
Ready for the name... this is exciting and very unique.... ready... are you sure??? okay, here we go... Now introducing...
"Fishy"
yes, that's right folks, "Fishy" it is. All this time the fish had no name, how sad.. Now if we had a koi pond or maybe even a pretty beta fish, it would be a little more exciting, but a goldfish that is really not even gold, more like yellow-beige. I think we would have named it sooner. oh well...
But Madeleine is doing a pretty darn good job at keeping "Fishy" alive...
Good job Madeleine...
love, mom

Oh, the pressure....

I had the privelage of photographing my friend Patrice, and fellow photographer's boys the other day and boy was the pressure on...
To tell you the truth, I was really nervous... me, photographing HER boys.
another photographer's kids, and a great one at that... PRESSURE....but the day went smooth even with my little guy tugging at my leg the whole time. He was pretty much in all the shots as well, but these are the ones I managed to get without him in the frame...
I promise, I don't take my kids on all the shoots. That's EXTRA!!! :)

My heart is filled

I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Madeline on Sunday afternoon, and my heart is just filled and so blessed for meeting her.
Madeline was born March 24th weighing in at 3 pounds, 13.5 ounces, her beautiful mother passed on March 25th.

I never knew Liz, Madeline's mother, Matt's wife. Nor, had I met her husband Matt. But I knew I wanted to. I was honored to be welcomed into their home, to visit with some of her family and closest friends and to listen to some of their stories about her. I wish I did know her.

Madeline has a story to tell, but right now, she is just a bit too young to express with words. For now, her dad will tell her story. Click here
I recommend you visit them at
http://www.mattlogelin.com/
bookmark it and put it on of your favorites and let them know you stopped by. Madeline and Matt would love to know you came in for a visit.
Once you meet this little girl, you will want to visit every day... I promise...
I already miss her.....

My high jumper

Another little high jumper on board....what was so special about this session is when I arrived and met the family at one of my secret locations. Sshh!!!, I honestly did not think these kids would remember me. It had been a while since our last shoot.
To my surprise, both kids ran into my arms and gave me the biggest hugs ever. It really made my day that they had remembered me from so long ago. Thanks guys... Here is a small sneak peek. Little brother and family will be on the next post. This session was so fun, I have to break it up into two parts. ;) Enjoy!!!
