My heart is filled
I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Madeline on Sunday afternoon, and my heart is just filled and so blessed for meeting her.
Madeline was born March 24th weighing in at 3 pounds, 13.5 ounces, her beautiful mother passed on March 25th.
I never knew Liz, Madeline's mother, Matt's wife. Nor, had I met her husband Matt. But I knew I wanted to. I was honored to be welcomed into their home, to visit with some of her family and closest friends and to listen to some of their stories about her. I wish I did know her.
Madeline has a story to tell, but right now, she is just a bit too young to express with words. For now, her dad will tell her story. Click here
I recommend you visit them at

bookmark it and put it on of your favorites and let them know you stopped by. Madeline and Matt would love to know you came in for a visit.
Once you meet this little girl, you will want to visit every day... I promise...
I already miss her.....

Gina. I am overwhelmed. Thank you so much...for the amazing gift and your amazing heart. You have brought me to tears.
ReplyDeleteGina, thank you thank you thank you! I am Liz's cousin and I live in MN. The pictures you took of Matt and Maddy are amazing and so healing for me and I'm sure the rest of the family and friends here. You truly captured the love that Matt has for Maddy and that is absolutely the most beautiful gift. I know that I will never stop grieving for my cousin, but it helps so much to have people like you, especially those who live in LA, helping and caring for Matt and Maddy in ways we can't do from a distance. We are so very grateful.
ReplyDeleteI, too, am in tears and at a loss for words...the Logelin story, your beautiful gesture, and the priceless photos of one adorable little girl...all are reminders of how precious life is. Your generosity and heart are truly commended, Gina...thanks for sharing this story.
ReplyDeleteNow that I can write without crying...I love the pictures. I really do think that they are some of your best work yet. You can tell that you worked purely with your heart on this one. What a gift for the family. I'm so glad to call you my friend. You amazing woman!!!
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm Michelle's sister-in-law. She told me to visit your site and read this story and I must say I'm totally overwhelmed by the families strength! The pics you took are priceless! I LOVE the last one as Maddy seems to be looking at the picture of he mother--it's so precious! You did a wonderful job bringing joy to a deserving family. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGina - I'm a friend of Liz/Matt and now Madeline. Thank you for capturing such a precious and beautiful relationship on film. You have a kind heart and talented eye - the pictures are A-MAZING! I know that Liz is smiling from ear to ear ...
ReplyDeleteSuch an amazing story and it totally brought me to tears. You are so awesome for sharing your gift with them!
ReplyDeleteI, like everyone else, am extremely touched by this entire story. I came across your images via PROJECT CHILDHOOD. I volunteer my services through my own project where I just worked with orphans in Mexico. I am further inspired by you, your images, Matt, Liz and Madeline and their story. It's wonderful when your life is unexpectedly changed, perspectives are altered. . . .isn't it?
ReplyDeletethe only thing that i can say right now without crying is "THANK YOU!" I am truely blessed for meeting them and honored...I miss that beautiful little girl and I cant wait to see her real soon...
ReplyDeleteThanks you everyone for all your kind words...

Gina,
ReplyDeleteThe slideshow you did for Matt & Madeline is luminous. It's what kicked my tears into overdrive when reading about Liz. You have an amazing talent and clearly a generous heart to do that for Matt and Madeline. Thank you for sharing it with all of us.
I was wondering if you could tell me the name of the artist and the song you used? It's so beautiful.
Thanks,
Claire
