As a photographer, I always seem to think that the pictures of my family should be the best, perfectly composed, perfect setting in my camera, and sharp all around. When actually, they are the hardest to take. Maybe I am just so critical of myself. But trying to get rid of the sippy cup and having everybody look the same way at the same time, trying to stop the crying, and to top it off. "Mommy" is taking the pictures, so my little guy just wants to be in my arms the whole time. Let me tell you.. it is very hard to take a picture and hold a very heavy almost 2 year old at the same time. The life of a photographer/mommy ;).....
Well, my husband reminded me once again that it was really not about getting the perfect pictures that day,the perfectly composed shot, the perfect fstop. It was just about spending the "perfect" time together, and then it hit me...it was "perfect".. My family.... Hanging out along the prettiest pastures, and being together as a family, that is all that really mattered...Thank you Chris... for reminding me one more time about the perfect time.... On another blog, I read something of the sort of..."Do you want a box full of smiles?", or "a box full of stories?".
I choose stories.....
so, let's tell stories.
Parents:When taking those daily pictures of your own children and family around your own home, don't worry about the perfect shot, just the perfect moment...
here are a few shots of our story....

Gina, I'm glad that you remembered that it's not about the "perfectly posed picture." Way to go Chris on reminding her. And I read that same blog all the time (wink wink). You rock...don't be so hard on your self. Love ya!
That wasn't Dustin it was me. What in the world....

I just love these pictures, the love is captured in them all.
"FAMILY" it is what matters most.
